Ah that is a good idea actually. Although I first tried converting 100,000 hairs into splines. Maybe thats too much but it still doesn't really cover my model properly. Anyway when just trying to render my system runs out of memory. I've only got 2 gig. Did you try and render one yourself? -

What about hair, I'm sure people have had to bake planes of hair texture to low-poly mesh. Sometimes you cant have Real geometry for 100000 objects, it is just too high a poly-count. -

Send to Unity saves an FBX as usual, and above the 100,000 polygon limit. Not sure why there is an export cap if you can simply get around it by exporting to Unity, which really you're just saving the file inside a Unity project folder, you don't even have to open Unity at all. After exporting this way you can take the FBX… -

LARGE PDF files are teh suck. You get one thats over 50mb and the fucking thing crawls trying to open it (on any machine). I dont mind PDFs that much, atleast they are compatible machine to machine. There really shouldn't be any problem working in whatever scale you want, as long as you adjust your perspective and orthographic cameras accordingly. Select your cameras, go to their attributes, and change the near clip plane to 1 and the far clip plane to 100000. -

This is awesome, no more 100000 bookmarks in Chrome. I was thinking of putting together a website using Javascript Isotope so you could easily navigate to the tutorials of your chosen discipline and art package. Not sure if there's any point now ;)
