Hey Mawcos, Thanks for pointing that out. It's true, I need to go ahead and handpaint the rest of the assets as well. I`m kind of going for a realistic - hand painted mix look and the rest of the models need that attention as well.
Hey you have a nice start here and as St4lis said you have potential. Overall your lighting needs work. Nothing pops. Your handpainted work is definitely nice, but the lack of contrast is killing your work.
kinda the same here, i use 3dcoat for a lot of stuff tho, handpainted textures, tweaking lowpoly models, easy uving, retopo, rock formation shapes, and when I need to prototype hardsurface stuff is also good.
Maybe it's because I connect the Blizzard Style with "Handpainted", but for me it's very "flat". The lighting is good but you definitly need wera & tear! I can only suggest watching Tyson Murphys Tutorial on hand painted textures.
Hey everyone, Retopos done, here's the result of braum's shield texture. I will do color correction when all texture jobs are finished. Im newbie for handpaint but im learning with this. C&C's are welcome everytime. Thanks.
And this one is done =) Over the next few days I'm going to work on some handpainted low poly stuff. The spacefighter is alive and kicking in UDK with some test animations, but that one will have to wait for now... /edit: fixed url
tsabszy, lol man, thanks a lot))) But this is good old handpaint... I rly like hardsurf in the middle. Lonewolf rule as always.) Venom by michael milano realy impressive. Also Woman Hulk makes me crying. xD
I know you could handpaint normals before, but with the AO, cavity and all the other bells and whistles it seems like a really attractive alternative to sculpting now. Great job! Did this real quick all in PS + nDo2
Thanks for the support! I'm glad those tutorials were helpful :) I might do one last sooner or later about using baked maps in a handpainted workflow but for now I need to take a break haha :chuffed:
