Is there any way to set the lighting of new marmoset like the old one ? I used the sunlight preset (which is the same sky) but I find the shadows/lighting is much less saturated (I had nice shadows with blue tone on the old one). Also I can't get the skin looking the same as the classic one, did anyone had any luck with…
Hah- I wish I'd thought of the controller idea...but I finially figured out how to get the thing working. Part of the problem seems to have been that at seom point in the model creation, a single face got UV'd across a seam and this was messinhg the triangulation up. However, and for anyone who has a problem, here is…
jeff: pivots eh? jeff: i dont think marmoset sorts alpha using pivots EarthQuake: yeah i dont either jeffrussell: marmoset alpha is fucked up, you can quote me on that :P EarthQuake: but i have no idea jeff: it should be a mtl sort, not based on geometry jeff: although its possible andres didnt call the sort in toolbag…
MAN! Do I feel dumb. Alright. I have been overlooking the "Object Space Normals" option. I have done some beauty captures, but was miffed at Marmoset for refusing to shadow surfaces properly. IF I check this, do I still need to invert the Green Channel on the Normal Maps for Marmoset's sake? Also: I spend a ton of time…
Ok boys and girls, I found a solution to the problem I had earlier with marmoset looking like this after loading a mesh or taking a screenshot: http://img205.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=98330_Problem01_122_260lo.jpg Adding a normal map to a material, even if you don't need it, - fixes this. I found that once I applied a…
Marmoset won't display your mesh correctly if you don't actually assign a material with textures loaded in it. In other words it's perfectly normal for it to not work properly until you apply some textures to the material. I also suggest you don't use the default material ever, always make a new material for each object…
Philnolan3D: The thing I like most about viewing my models in Marmoset as Neox pointed out is its speed and ease of use. For me, I just drop out an OBJ and some .tga's and I'm set. No exporting. No weird engine requirements (that I've seen). No techy bullshit. It just works and is the shortest distance between my 3d app…
Hi guys, first and foremost Marmoset is awesome. Thank you for releasing it freely. It pimps model rendering by default. Just a quick question. When I keep it open full screen and active, I got a CPU load of about 65%, when it is open but not active (focus is on another app) CPU load raises to 100%. If it is windowed both…
@disanski: I think you can break up your model into as many chunks/materials as needed. I made something with 17 chunks before and other than being a pita to figure out what was what to apply the correct materials to it worked out just fine. @fghajhe: I've never had that problem before, does the screenshot f12 work…
Since my post was looked over I'll ask again (Last post on the page!) :( What are the chances we'll see multiple lights in Marmoset? Even two lights would make a huge difference presentation-wise. I wouldn't even mind if it was really mechanical, like one extra light, 90 degrees along Y and inverse XZ. I just think a…
