@perna I am asking about the part that I have shown to you. That castle wall thing with 8 segments. Right now, enclosing the sides of them creates a lot faces which are not visible on model. However, adding loops just complicates the model too much. Therefore I asked if there is another way or how would you model it...
Thanks for your reply mate! Does anyone recalls a video where a guy explained the basics of subd-modelling by modelling all kinds of (basic) shapes? It thought it were two videos in total.
Edge loops are transferable between modeling apps, edge weights/creasing typically isn't. So if you're only going to be using one modeling app, then creasing can be a more efficient workflow...
This is model from a car, its not subd but it has so many polygons, how do you model this? Im thinking one way could be making it subd and then optimize it (delete edge loops).
Dear folks, I was thinking about modelling a simple canister. The basic form is quite simple using subdivision modeling. But how to implement these cavities? More detail could be used on the base model, but this will degrade the managebility of the main simple form, espacially if the cavities are just on one side, loops…
Hi, so I'm trying to model this particular sofa but I don't even know where to start. My attempt was so pitiful that I don't really want to post it. Basically I just tried to imitate shape by using basic plane but it didn't obviously work.
