Foehammer, congrats on the gig. If you meet my old coder buddy Eric Best when you get there, tell him John Zero says hi. Sounds like things are looking up for Paradigm! /jzero
Eric I for one would love you long time in your face if you made a nice performance related tutorial. Cover tri strips, draw calls, etc etc. In other words, YES PLEASE.
It depends on the engine or software doing the export. If you do it yourself and make sure all the edges are turned the way you want them and visible the engine will import it that way. Eric beat me to it with better information. Alex
Hi @Eric Chadwick , Thank you for your suggestion. I read the whole article (but I'll need to read it a couple more times haha). I'll try to adapt it for sure. I finished the low poly modeling of the house. I know it is not relevant anymore, but in case someone is curious:
Stick with the official epic docs to start with - youtube is full garbage tier videos by self professed experts with no idea what they're talking about. I've never tried this one but it looks official so won't be awful https://dev.epicgames.com/community/learning/tutorials/e2V/your-first-game-in-unreal-engine-5 The "how to…
@Eric Chadwick Yup. That is why I'm only complaining about it on here. Still, how it gets to that point is curious to me. Is it shitty company policy? Bad work ethics/habits? Maybe I'll never know...
Thank you everybody for your answers. Eric I could not post screenshots, sorry about that. I found that vertices were highlighted with the clean up tool, but that was just to indicate uv borders I suppose.
@Eric Chadwick certainly nice to have a stable gig but i was just commenting on the setup of the office really. it's not what i would call an inspiration for interior design. ....looks more like the rower's deck on a galley :)
Eric's post is for the rotation tool, which you'd use to rotate your geometry. If you're after the hotkey to rotate your viewport, it's alt+mmb. Hold them down as you move your mouse around.
