Notch said a 1 km island of unique detail would take 500 petabytes. UD demostrated a tiny dataset. just a few trees a statue, a few bits of grass and a few rocks. Hardly unlimited. -

Well, I just bought it second-hand and perfect status, at a quarter of the quarter of the original price... It will do! Is really Alienware that bastard? I didn't know... Here in Europe, Alienware is a sub-section of Dell sellers. -

these are all fine and dandy, but it like to see some more organic shaped stuff from you, so far most everything is cubes and cylinders,, you are getting better,, but try something like a statue. or a tree / -

Ok I went with the second one. Hope I chose right. Here is a status update. Still unsure with pushing it this "Disney" CG direction if I'm making it too detailed. Especially with the odd proportions of the cartoon. (The Hair is a stand in fwiw) -

uhoh Blizzard has a 'boring' office ;) Blizzard Office Snapshots It was pretty interesting to see it looks sort of like the Mythic offices but with added statues and a shiny floor. Mythic has a Tardis now so that should add bonus points. -

I think you've done a good job of recreating the lines in the statue. Some of the proportions are a little off. The guy is a bit more curvy, and the woman needs a bit of work on the torso. Just my 2 cents, I'm not a pro yet... -

Good question. i was thinking it could be just a symbol of status or affilation with the group he belongs to. But if I were to push it into a more practical direction it'd be some kind of a demon repelling gear or just a general mystical protective item. -

You would probably see more use in this if you advertised it for static somewhat organic props. I don't know if I would ever want any of my character meshes to have that kind of odd topology unless it was a statue.
