Hello to my fellow polycounters! I’ve been working on a character in the evenings after my day-job, in hopes of pushing my portfolio forwards. In the past I’ve either had a fairly generalist portfolio, or the chosen designs were not visually strong. I’ve reflected a lot lately, and decided to push forwards with a stylized…
don't drink the haterade... maybe the wielder has some kind of magical Force he uses to make the weapon more practical? I am going to go into this with zero expectations...at the very least I get to see X-wings, tie fighters and the Falcon rip up the screen anyone else notice the Falcon got a new sensor array....
@Dobbler HOLY CRAP !! Where did you find that REFERENCES !! Definitely going in my library ! :O Anyways thanks, thats the kind of barrel I was referring to but just couldn't find a coloured and close up shot of the thing. I'll take that to consideration and maybe add more of those wobbly soft extrusions in between those…
Really awesome work man. The interior is really great too. I think I notice some kind of texture error/mistake though? Take a look at your second photo. On the rear spoiler on the right side, on top of the Audi rings, there appears to be a black line going across. Looks like it could have been a mis-brush :)
nope, the description of the Balrogs in the silmarillion and in lord of the rings was ambiguous at best as to even the existence of wings. They were almost certainly metaphor, and an extension of the show the creature was made from. also, as we used the movie as a visual reference (to some extent, we changed the head and…
To clarify - I meant inpainting, not generating from scratch. As in get generation from photoshop (kind of what you want, but poor quality) and then run THAT through other NN of your choice or maybe PS again. Idea is for NN to remake existing guiding image with higher details, quality, resolution. With SD you can use…
Like everyone has said already, and I know the horse has already been beat, but the dark textures are just eating all of the time and hard work you put into the HP work. Lighten up the textures and show off that hard work you put into the HP and baking!! The wings though, looks F*cking badass. Nice work.
I was going to request a wood tutorial - so I can't thank you enough! I've always wondered how wood specular maps should look, I always kind of wing them (yes I know, really bad!), would be great if you had a little info why you did yours the way you did!
I think the wings look to straight, if they were curved inward more I think it would have a more dramatic look to it. Also the same for the hands it kind of just looks like a t position. So I am not sure if you planned on putting them into a more interesting position. Is there going to be any zbrush involved or is it…
Great concept indeed ! The overall scale seems good, i don't know how much you want to be close to the original but take care to small details. (the chain of the horn have kind of a different shape in its middle, the shape and scale of the "padlocks" and hinge...) The horn is too thick, and maybe too low poly? Good start,…
