You may think about how many different peaces of rubble you really need and only use these as particles instances. Maybe even merging and makeing a convex hull and bake the texture to that "one-filled-piece-of-rubble". Or simply do a shrinkwrap of a grid on top of the particle simulation. Ohh.. and someone did this already…
I have released a four part video tutorial set for 3d Studio Max 7 on the end to end creation of a 5000 polygon Desert Eagle using polymodeling. The gun features chamfered edges and milling, so minor adjustments to the model would ensure compatibility with most game engines (edit- for games compatibility this would work…

There's a nice character thing you've got going on, like a casual, springy walk. Its cool. Look at this giraffe ref. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh2yveXTKaU Notice how the hind legs come forward and almost kick the front legs forward? This is common with a lot of quad creatures. However, it doesn't happen in your anim.…
One of the things I can see straight away that could use some work is the legs, I can somewhat see you've taken a plantigrade pair of legs and tried to make them into digitigrade legs. I think that bit is something you could work at since the second bend should begin with an ankle. Here's a picture I googled quickly to…

There have been lawsuits etc.…
the main point is that you can very easily resurf across object and works quite well. the secondary point is that decimation and merging is not only always possible but usually the best approach. you can tune your overall polycount to a manageable size and merging decreases the amout or memory used and the amount of…

Digging the thread up again! This time, it's about executing MEL scripts on startup. I have a bunch of MEL scripts in "My Documents/maya/scripts" (which the Maya Help tells me is one of the default directories for scripts). These scripts have global procedures defined in them, but it doesn't seem like they're getting…
