Thats the roughness map of the underlaying surface. And its there 3 times because the triplanar has to sample it 3 times. Because of the projection from 3 directions. The part you marked is the slot to tell it what textures the base material has. -

Shrek 3 was not a good movie, Pirates 3 was horrible. But the worst movie of the year would be Spiderman 3 for me. I still fail to see how it is possible to fuck a movie like that after creating two really good ones...
