This seems to be a bug introduced in version 2010 (or maybe 2009?). I never had this issue on Max 2008, and now I do even though the "always update textures on change" option is turned on in the settings. Right pain in the arse. This was one of the nicest things about Max when texturing, and someone's gone and broken it... -

Ok I did like so for the WTF second material and I set to -1 tough the outputted movie render it didnt loop and actually it interpones a black screen between the end and the rebeginning of it :( .... u think u can make a fast version that I could see ? I use max 2009 ... -

Yea, you need to unwrap the sculpt, but the benefit is that you can then save out your maps with layers as a psd and work in photoshop (in mud2011 at least, in mud2010/2009 the layers have to exported individually). They bake the maps from the high to the low in xnormal, so they get the normal + diffuse at the same time… -

UPDATE: this only happens with 2.5 version. I just tried 2.1 and it works, but it lacks some features like AA, presets, etc. I also tried deleting the macroscript file and reinstalling, but the problem persists. I read that with max 2009 something called avguard is needed for version 2.5. Is this needed with 2011? -

Dude, I'm working in masonry in 109 degree weather here in Palmdale, CA. I thought I was going to die my first day out...Gatorade has never been so delicious! Working hard to get my portfolio looking good, get my self out of the fucking heat!
