Super mega wip, but what I'm currently working on. Pulled a lot from Josh Lynch (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/tutorial-creating-rocks-in-substance-designer) and Rogelio Olguin (https://vimeo.com/110562020) on generating rock shapes.
Another question, since my character wil be wrapping and curving itself around a large rock with lots of vegetation can I consider the rock itself to be part of the character polygon limit? (vegetation will be part of the pedestal limit ofc)

Man this is awesome work, I really want to see your progress, love the rocks so far :pleased: Question tho: did you sculpted each big island ? or you just "coated" the ground with rocks ? Cheers!
