none of those objects would require shadows in CE3. the darker background would be done via SSAO. you really dont need to worry about lighting when creating stuff in CE3. Its all taken care of automatically. When you're done with your scene you can tweak individual values to get the best results
Hello, - Step 1 shows the manual cleanup to patch holes, using regular polygon modeling techniques. - Step 2 shows the individual thin chunks of terrain being extruded down to create thick slabs. The box under them was just used as a negative Boolean to even/flatten their bottom side, but this could be done with just…
Hi, I don't have much experience with unwrapping
UV. I need to unwrap the UV of a product. I'm looking for a solution to
unwrapping UV Automatically. And, also I would like than the UV map
is meaningful for a non-3D user. So he can open the map into Photoshop to
paint it and he will not need to take of the distortion you…
I have here a flat top hair style with all the modifiers turned off so it's just the base xgen. I'm attempting to smooth the top part but each guide adds a little hill. At first I had spare hair guides, which is usually the best way to go, but this only made the bumps bigger. Each guide I placed just made the hills…
Alright, now that people are talking about the ending, I guess I can clarify my biggest gripe about it. It didn't have to end. Maybe James' story was finished, but mine wasn't. I still had other active quests. I was trying to make peace at Tenpenny, I had plans on raiding Paradise Falls as an alternative to doing their…
Development has started on Yoshimi Vs. Face Punching Robots (http://www.indiedb.com/games/yoshimi-vs-face-punching-robots), I'm pretty excited about it! As is typical of the stuff I do, it will be mostly cel-shaded. In association with The Raphy Report (student-run AV production LLC and tenants at the incubator) however,…
I'd say, don't go overboard with the textured wool-look. It definitely doesn't fit the whole art style and is too detail heavy if you'd ask me. stitches will probably work just fine if you want to go for that :) Have you thought about making the nose a touch smaller and having the mouth on the extruded piece? (or just no…
So what I'm thinking of doing is simply quarantine that animation scene. What I mean is Basically I will keep the broken scene, since it has all the animations i've done so far and I will create a new scene, import my model and everything else I can salvage (facial rig, bones, etc...) and I will re-map the bones onto a new…
ok cheers guys. yeah danr, I have built my own machines in the past and they always have little glitches here and there. I am pretty cackhanded myself. I suppose I should go for the vista ultimate 64bit with windows 7 upgrade option. Processor (CPU) Intel® Core2 Quad Q9550 (2.83GHz) 1333MHz FSB/12MB Cache Memory (RAM) 8GB…
So my group has now finished the blockouts of all the base objects for the realism scene. I will post pictures for the members as none of them has posted anything here. I am the art director for this little school project, so none of these assets were made by me. But the group has done realy well considering that e are…
