Ok guys thank you for the tricks ... and I just realize, that there should not be Z-Depth problems on display if the polys are not oriented in the same direction .. !? I'll dig that :)
select your asset in UDK and press F4. This will open the properties window -- you should be able to find the X, Y and Z position of your object there.

I'd expect like 10 minutes for that without the blur, or with the blur done in post with z depth. But yeah raytracing is way to cpu restricted right now.
