Re: Calibrating screen colours
Perna pretty much the entire VFX industry disagrees with you tbh lol. Doing calibration gives pretty significant improvements, I've seen the before/after in studio environments and it's definitely worth doing (to clarify, games studio environments). -

I felt like my final year was a complete waste because they felt so compelled to teach us "VFX" and "film animation" stuff. I'd just have preferred to be able to work on my own game related stuff... -

Jose I agree, his head is kinda floating now, but the final product, in the game will have some sort of VFX smoke coming out of his body so all the areas will be covered in smoke, to add to that creepiness. Thanks for the critique! -

Hey Mike, your modeling is solid but i feel presentation needs work. It would be nice to see breakdowns, wireframes, texture pages, material setup. Also it isn't clear if you're targeting vfx or games in your portfolio. -Ryan -

so Juliet is killed off to star in V, interesting. The old series was awesome, I watched it every weeknight. The VFX looks pretty good for a TV show, hope they can compete with the same quality as BattleStar. I'll give it a chance :) -

Small update: I remade a bit the composition and added some elements to the image, I'm planning on adding vfx on the focal element to the left, like an energy ball or something like that. -

In my head, as closed off unfortunately as that is, my intention was for it to be an over-the shoulder cannon. If VFX were attached, firework like stuff would prolly thematically work best, yeah. -

Let me ask you this, why do you want to learn Environment and HD? VFX seems like a nice gig to have, if you know what I mean.
