Unless you have a rock, which will be essentially rubble, and not a hero a hero rock, I either suggest retoplogy or manual optimization. ProOptimzer doesn't keep model loops, surfaces and structures as one might wish, clean.
i just used it recently to bake out a rock wall made out of single rocks that were already normal mapped. its not perfect but it works quite well.... maybe its different with more technical stuff.
Newest update. Added some more color variation in the crystal and a little detail to rocks. After adding some yellow and bounce light to the rocks I think I'm finally going tp move onto platform.
nice work! only, in my opinion, your rock could use some more finishing work. it looks like a plastic toy rock. or it's just me? anyway kuddo's because that gun is some badass modeling
Extremely technical 2D fighting controls with rock-solid balance? Expertly drawn and animated 2D sprite work? (now in high resolutions) But for my money I would have to say... ...Rock-n-Roll Witches!
Saidin - great rock stuff! i like the first eroded rock and the first bridge, use 'em to build a small scene maybe? and you watch hockey? you're my new Internets best friend. haha
@Shrike - That would be the thumb safety. It locks the slide into place along with the hammer, and in this A1 model actually moves a small firing pin block into place inside of the slide. This allows the pistol to be safety carried with a round in the chamber and the hammer cocked, which is important for the 1911 as it…
Can you please draw a line around the area you're asking about? If it's under the palm tree on the left side, that's looks like a tiled grass texture blended with a tiled rock texture, then some uniquely-mapped rocks shoved into it.
Looking great so far! I think the rocks look too shiny though, unless it's raining of course. Dry rock and stone should have a pretty low gloss and spec.
