1st shot with only dDo work. Still trying to get my head around a workflow with it, but my gameplan is to build the preset on lowres maps (since it's so sloooooow....) then apply it to my final bakes and start texturing from there. Maps are currently 1/4 res for this reason. I'll have to manually combine AO maps since so… -

I actually just changed my PC and so I had to do the License Return/Transfer thingy, yeah. Took me awhile. Had to look up old password I emailed myself, and Serial and stuff. Took me like 30 mins to get it to work (and still no clue why it didn't work the 1st time around) xD -

EarthQuake hit the nail on the head with his response. The short answer is "it depends". Simply saying a character should be 2x 2048 textures and 30k-70k triangles is assuming quite a lot. Is the character intended for use in a 1st person game? 3rd person? If the character is for a top-down RTS game you certainly won't be… -

hahah against my better judgement I checked the 1st one out from the library at work again.....going to attempt to put all bias for horrible japanese style UI and lighting/graphics aside and try to get into this gameplay you guys are all raving about. going to force myself to put atleast 2 hours into it this time. fingers… -

yea, haha. These rankings definitely weren't in line with my personal picks, but some cool stuff all around. Of the top 5 characters, the Electra entry was probably my least favorite, and I kind of had a 'wtf' moment with Flash entry not taking 1st in 2-D, but it's fun nonetheless to see what everyone came up with.… -

Well, I'd gladly take 100 000 instead of 10 000 000 ... (related to Showster's post on previous page) BTW itunes makes Red Cross donations pretty easy, just log in as usual and buy a donation just like you would buy an app, nice and simple. HLJ.com also gives a portion of their sales (+ a match) until april 1st. -

1st one was great! I didn't mind the characters at all - I thought it was all very cool. Ended up getting my rogue to level 24... completed just about everything (missed side quests with Sten). Caseyjones - yeah I'm a game-makin' maniac! Try and stop me! Jackablade - bet you didn't think you'd see another Blackmarket Games title so soon! MoP - yes, it works on iPhone or iPod touch. That video is me playing it on my iPod touch 2nd gen. It's a little slower on the 1st generation iPod touch, but still playable. -

This is all just to get the normals i'm giong to remake the whole scene low poly then texture it. I've never made a succesful normal yet so I'm going through a good tutorial I just need some stuff to work with 1st. I want it to look something like this when it's done.
