Photoshop is a texturing tool, you can use it to texture your models but you will need an app to model them first. If you are a student you can get the autodesk products very cheaply and possibly free. just check out their student site. Eric: i pruned ricks comment, its was utterly pointless. -

Sprites and vertex color ? That's how volumetric clouds are done in most games i think. I'm trying to find a video from autodesk where a guy did a setup for an airplane fight with a slight comic feel. Ah, yeah, that's right. I got the impression that this script would behave that way. Not sure why it would be missing completely un-occluded faces on the more complex meshes I tried earlier today. Really appreciate the help by the way. I wish autodesk would just implement Mayas camera based selection :( -

can't help on the printers, as the quality is usually too weak, compared to per asset solutions anyways the cheapest 3dscanner you could get right now is autodesks 123dcatch, you shoot photos of your object and it calculates the surface for you, its kinda rough but does a nice job overall. or russian3dscanner once it is… -

The viewport is outdated I agree, but you have to remember Maya is over 10 years old now. I just hope Autodesk have a roadmap with a rewrite of Maya's viewport somewhere down the line - although it's probably too mammoth a task. Oh well, I'll still dream of realtime AO and massive polycounts. :( -

You'll get a better response if you speak in intelligible English. As for your problem, it may stem from the fact that obj's hate Autodesk and your avatar has corrupted your entire Max installation. Have you tried both Export and Export Selected? Is this happening on other files or objects you try to export?
