@Mask_Salesman, Well yeah it seems he does :P. Yeah I again completely agree, usually I am really strict on my modeling in terms of what I allow for. I am very much less is more; while that sounds cliche and obvious, I think if you really stick by it you can save yourself loads of polys/tris/verts and either help things to…
Let me see if I'm finally understanding all of this: 1) Average Projection cage and Explicit Projection cage determines how the normals will bake. Average Projection does just that, it averages the normals together between the low and high poly completely ignoring any smoothing groups you apply. Explicit Projection uses…
UPDATE: I have an update! SUBHEAD: Unexpected Pitfalls So I got sick of microslop's shit for the very last time in November of last year. I didn't post on microslop's forums that I was switching to linux, and then keep using microslop's products. I just did a buncha research about which distro would be best for me and…
Perhaps you can use layers with anchors at the bottom of the stack and then use the anchored data instead of the import directly. When updating maps, you would (hopefully) only have to ensure that the maps in the bottom layers with anchors get updated.
Got a sketch book that I take notes and stuff in, than I got sticky notes on my displays with things like key combos and tools I want to work into my workflow. After I got the contents of the sticky to memory I replace it with a new one. When programming I do the same thing with sticky notes of language features I want to…

Well to buy separate parts/Complete build from scratch i would have to get a job which i probably wont until some time later after January so i wanted to buy what was good from this vendor regardless the price (While keeping it under 1500) and use that until i can slowly upgrade it into the god it deserves to be myself…
So after many hours of noodling around and messing with shapes/trial and error..ing.....I decided to go back to square one. I wanted to do my best to follow the initial concept of Neon Strike Vi. I still need to crisp and finish a few things here and there and decide what to do about her pink glasses/headgear. After that…
Thanks Steady on the tid bits and praise of the model. I might do as you suggested in maybe a month once I have moved on to another piece and I'm willing to work on this again. I was thinking the specular map would give me the highlight information I needed, but I can add in a white with yellow in it on the parts that…
Thanks that is very helpfull information :) @EarthQuake 1. Well an AT-ST would be around 28 ft so it will be a large in game model compared to the player. 2. I have set myself a budget of 10.000 Triangles becouse I wanted to it to be an efficient in game model and a good portfoilio piece. Should I go higher then this ? 3.…
