How about a beginners programming book that's targeted at making games with quick turn-around to keep the reader interested and a greater sense that they're working towards their goals?

Delete the 2 polygons at the ends and then either move the two sets of 4 closer together and weld with the right threshhold or target weld them together one by one.
The Trigger object as target for the Toggle is not possible, you only need the Toggle to have Event connect to the trigger event itself, as you also have. Just that is enough.
That simple diffuse texture looks great! It really gives a nice feel for the visual target in a short time. I'll definitely be using this technique for my current project.
run a HI-Solver from the rotator on top of the base to the nozzle pivot. there should be 1 pivot between start and end. then animate the IK target from A to B.
