Update time! The layout of the level is done, and i'm probably 1/5th done with building the environment. Hoping to be done in 3-4 days... Rocks on the side of the path might need some work, not fully happy but i'm testing out a different technique.
No particular build now. Just messing around with all the lesser used weapons like daggers so I guess STR DEX :P Though my first was a INT and my second was a FTH but now I'm just helping people with bosses.
@ shep4rd, jeremiah_bigley: thanks a lot you guys! updating... added 4th building to the scene, a garage behind the gas station. trying to constantly update the scene here, so that you guys can see how it progresses... hope well :) crits are welcome
I'm not a character artist but the models look cool! I must say however I do find the background (clouds?) to be very distracting when looking at your models - this is very noticeable when viewing the 5th character. Keep up the good work :)
These are the headphones I've been using lately for the same purpose. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50s-Headphones-ear-cup/dp/B000ULAP4U/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1304553312&sr=1-1[/ame]
there was athing in the mirror newspaper about it, they said it was 3 different dancers doing the moves and it was mocapped into a PC and kelly animated onto the mocap. it looks really fake in places and you can tell it's CGI, not like the breakdancing transformer citreon which looks real.
Yeah, since I only started doing environment stuff and non-square textures last year, I'm pretty sure my brain would melt if I had to cope with trying to squash UVs down to an 8th of their size in one axis
<- arrived today. Awesome drive... and damn 30 peeps? This is going to be a great meetup. Also the california pizza kitchen is a welcome change for me. :) I'll catch you guys at the booth crawl tomorrow afternoon. IGF booth in the 5th st lobby ya?
I think this project is done- probably would love to got back to it again and improve it a bit more-- I might use Speed Tree on the next round. Learning Zbrush is a blast with UE4. More shots here if you like to see more https://www.serriffe.com/8th-project
Doesn't really matter right now you are going to break it anyway[I am on my 4th] or it will get old and run out of nibs ,get something cheap to learn on and when you know what you doing buy a higher class with all the bells ,whistles and sensitivity
