For a while now I have been working on a saloon interior that is inspired by the Red Dead series. I am going for a bit of a high end saloon and I still have loads of work left to do. With this project, I really wanted to dive into the PBR workflow and UE4. Probably around 60 % of the textures in here have place holder…
Hi guys, I’m a recent graduated 3d modeling student and I’m a fan of cyberpunk 2077. This is my character project inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. I've created my own character as a member of a group called the 'Triad.' Even though the Triad faction wasn't included in Cyberpunk 2077, it was part of Cyberpunk 2020's world. The…
This is my first ever attempt at creating a game environment, and also the first time I've ever created foliage. This environment is based off of / inspired by the forest pond area in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. The initial model of the tree was also based off of a drawing by Oleksandra Pulinets on ArtStation.
I do remember the name but confess I never looked at the software. Seems heavily inspired by the once fancy Nendo/Mirai. Not sure that's the modelling paradigm I'd still pick nowadays. Remember modelling heads starting from a box a la Bay Raitt's Gollum? ;)
@nyx702 Hmm... yea I think I'll look into more local stuff @blankslatejoe WOW awesome post. What you said is actually kind of inspiring. Can't wait until I get to that point where I go to conventions and see "old friends"
I think the hemi-sphere side walls and roof could use some interesting braces or struts protruding out to create a better silhouette. The up-close geometry is cool but from far away it looks flat. Perhaps look up Calatrava for some inspiration...
it can still be an inspiration without being someone else's interpretation of chronus. he's looking a little generic at the moment, though seems too early to tell. random rant: i hate seeing that fucking shader on everything out of zbrush. just show me the model.
yeah im making rubble and newspapers to put on the ground there. thats my main issue is populating the ground hehe. yes i have half life 2 and COD 4 those two games along with dark sector really inspired me to create these scenes.
I'm not expert but I found racer445's tut deeply inspiring: http://cg.tutsplus.com/articles/news/how-to-hand-paint-convincing-metal-textures/ Also the handle needs more love, check some refs. Keep on the good work and improve it to became best :)
Sorry to sort of steal your thread, but Ive been wanting to make some tiles but I never got around to it. When I saw this thread it inspired me to actually do it. And I just wanted your guys opinion and crits on mine so far:
