Wow! Wonderful stuff everyone. Gonna be another epic week. Cross-posting from my sketch-book: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=105544&page=2 Everything here is hand drawn first on paper and then brought in for render in PS. I've been doing this a lot the last month or so. Good work flow. Maybe this weekend…
Here's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and never thought I was could but after finishing the Hard Surface course over at CGWorkshops, I definitely want to try and do the whole thing. Started with a sculpt I've previously done based on Christian Bale as a base to build the cowl on. Still very rough just…
great shapes dom! here are a few simple NPCs i'm currently sketching for Airborn, to fill the scenery with life. They are basicly basechars which we can vary a bit with different colors, beards, hats and stuff. proportions are roughly based on some settlers characters we worked on a while ago, changed them during the…
I liked pretending to be a real developer during the DS2 contest so much that I decided to see how fast I could sketch up a weapon from a basic thumbnail, this is the result after an hour: Some sort of dwarven axe, because everyone knows that only dwarves have an orthogonal design fetish. Next up is color and basemesh.
Cool stuff DiggityDerr. I'd make a new thread then link to it from your WAYWO so you can get focused comments there. My first thoughts are it's too noisy with the high contrast. Here's a quick hack job to show you how you could tone it down. Quick sketch of some new helmets I'm gonna make:
Once you print this, let me know because I would love one copy as well! :D Where are you getting this printed, if you dont mind me asking? As for my contribution to WAYWO, I fired up sculptris and did this sketch of a prothean. I will be working with it during my lunch breaks. Any crits are more than welcome!
So many awesome things in this thread my eyes can't take it!! :) Feeling festive this month, so I sketched out a candy corn monster and started modeling him the other night. Just doing a base mesh in Maya and then bringing him into ZBrush. Apologize for the watermarks, they were the only pictures I kept and were the ones…
@ bakedbeing : That Punisher is FREAKING RAD! @ shrew81 : Love that little guy. I am keen to see some more please. @ Rayph : Awesome bots and cool sketch. @ SimonT : hahaha what a cool idea  OK, decided to make a fresh chick "Sass" She is going to have a big puffy vest and hoodie but I got carried away with a hood…
Hey guys. Didn't get any feedback on my torso like I'd hoped, but hopefully this one will be a little more fun. Started it today, first try at a full body. Really not entirely sure what I'm doing, just trying things out. He's based on a little sketch on DA http://raelislington.deviantart.com/#/d587ahx and I'm having fun…
