Just a little normal mapping test, the normal map on the floor is created from a mesh (the textures are crap, just playin'), the ones on the walls are really old that I've never seen in action before (didn't have any knoewledge of any 3D application back then and Hammer did not like them for some reason).

I was messing around trying to get back into the art thing, been way too rusty, made these up for fun.. used the old q3 threewave logos as placement as I had no idea what to put in there, also playing with silo.. Amazingly, I forgot alot of stuff, these are amazingly horrible.. but thought I'd share.
Here's a WIP of my next environment piece. It's for one of my all time favourite games. Like my other stuff as of late I've done a little back story to this piece I will post later on. For now, consider it a "Where are they now?" subject piece for an old adventure title. Guess the game, win a cookie!

I am a lazy yoot but, I suppose its time to go make some new chompers. Crash - Dig the alien. The yoots on this board are so talented.
@ adamlewis Very cool but the face looks old and because of that he seems not very fast. It wouldnt really fit to your style to make the skin smoother but i would reduce the skin hanging above his eyes and his head/forehead less big. @ ggmd Great environment work. @ Helixx Nice but the skull is missing something
Johnny: Ace work! Don't forget to make his face assymetrical, he's got a busted nose and there are other little facial features that are slightly off on his face. I may have to dig out my old model of Kiefer and see if I can get him sorted out... you've inspired me!!
