Hi! By the way i'm still practicing a stylized crunchy way of sculpting on zbrush, that is suitable for 3D printed figures. I hope you like it. I really like the style of redbeanviolin i'll adapt its style in my sculpting. I'll update soon
Hi everyone! First post here :) I'm working on a little personal environment practice project that I'm planning on making into a sort of mini level eventually. Still working on the textures but I plopped what I had so far into UDK for a quick preview.
I've been practicing materials and learning more about how specular/normal shader calculation works under the hood, so I've been spending time with this model (not mine; just fixing up materials and stuff on it). Here's a Verold link to it: [verold]53da9e53f0ee090200000095[/verold]
so much cool stuff in here!! :) here are my recent practice results: first time I made a female body. Feedback on what to pay attention to next time is much appreciated! Also worked on this viking sword (for the spitsculpt group). maybe I gonna push it further.
Xpost from my thread :3 - Working more on some material definition tonight, especially the skin. Want this finished by the end of the month if possible so I can get stuck into something new and put what I've learnt this time around into fresh practice. Feedback welcome!
Happy 2014 Polycounters. Some amazing work already, I'm loving the skill level and how its pushing everyone constantly. I've been really busy with work lately but managed to get some personal practice in on some textures today. This one I posted for some crits:) Thanks
It's really intimidating/inspiring, seeing everyones work on here. Some really quality artwork everyone! Here is some Zbrush texturing practice I have been doing in my freetime. That's right, I'm cross posting from my thread lol http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2107718#post2107718
Just trying to get more practice on pbr materials. Not happy with the lid, I dont feel the subtle scratches come through strong enough yet, need to work on the gloss map a little more. Also need to build piping and the end bit because he cant just suckle at air and hope to hoover.
Hi all. WIP Space fighter for my game, i'm working on currently. This is a mix of lowpoly with highpoly objects. Don't know if this is alright to ask technical questions in this thread, but i try - is it a good practice to have so many small objects, then attach them into one and unwrap? Or should it be one big mesh…
