Yep, that's alot better. Here's my critique, take it with a grain of salt. The rig is jumping over a very high wall from a standing start. There should be a lot of anticipation and effort in trying to get over that wall. It should show a build up of readiness and tension. The body can really be lowered to the ground with a…
Figured I'd throw something in as well. I'm hardly an efficient animator but I do enjoy the artistic freedom it offers. These were tiny class assignments. Each around 15 to 20 minutes. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tRFgPEMHhI"]four basic animations[/ame] And a less than satisfactory robot walk. Viewport…
Took a little longer on this one, was trying out the new grease tool in Maya, it can really help out! Just need to get practicing on my 2D animations for it.
Dinosaurs!! Looks like a fun project to be working with :) One thing to keep an eye on...For whatever reason, the embedded vimeo video seems to be cutting off the model in your animations
SuperSoupy - Really like your animation :) I gues you allready are aware of that the blue guys left elbow goes through the ground at the end. Other then that, it looks great! :)
Lots of keys isn't a total no no. If you need the keys, use them. But, just make sure they are nice and smooth. Your graph wasnt smooth, and will reflect that directly while moving through the air. It will suddenly change directions with an unnatural feel. With animation, sometimes less is more. But, you have to be able to…
Thought i'd join in this epic thread with a quick block out of a run cycle I put together tonight for a robotic coalmine minecart with legs (i'll explain later lol). Needs work on timing and I think the height could do with more work as well but for 20 minutes it's a start. The anim is due to part of a blended anim system…
Yesterday I didn't have time to make a speed animating during the day, so I quickly threw one together to make SOMETHING. It did not turn out well. These speed animations are hard when making them when stressing for something else. Second one below was a fail as I mistakenly saved over my file after baking down all the…
Amazing work going on in the thread. Please keep it going. Very inspiring! I'm not an animator myself, but my wife is, I'm trying to get her to share some of her work!
