it sounds like you're not excluding the lowpoly mesh from the ao bake in the material shader, if you set exclude to -1 and then in the object property's of the lowpoly mesh set object ID to 1 it should work
What's your workflow? These look like errors you get from changing the lowpoly mesh after baking. Did you export your highpoly out of Zbrush and bake in Maya, or somewhere else like Xnormal? Did you make any changes to your lowpoly after baking the map? Any overlaps in your lowpoly UVs? Any UV mirroring?
Hi Guy, here my latest vehicle, its a lowpoly pickup truck with 94k polys and 480px/m of texel density. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/EL0q14 https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/generic-pickup-truck-lowpoly-ecfa5ef47e494dc58381c08984653ab5 ar
Hello everyone, Im looking for all the advice I can get on my lowpoly female anatomy here. Pretty straight to the point. so here is what Ive got so far: currently weighs under 800 tries. thanks for your help!
Luke_Starkie : thank you :) The LOWPOLY posing process above in gif... I posed bipeds in 3ds max first in that pose what i wanted, imported into zbrush, and then used the transpose tools.. the highpoly poses were a bit trickier... i exported the actual highpoly subtool's lowest subdiv level to 3ds max with GOZ, skinwrapped…
oh nevermind these ramblings, as i expected this to become the lowpoly not the basemesh of a new highpoly. i really suggest you learn how to model this instead of doing it in cad, then remodelling it again to make a new highpoly. usually what you would do, make the cad model, bake that down to the final lowpoly
dur, not really useless, it's clear you get it - and that's the whole point of the thread. and it's not really the lowpoly normals as such, more actually the tangent space it creates from the lowpoly at render time, which is different to the viewport tangent space.
Nice lookn lowpoly. Perhaps put a few more poly's in the feet? I know its not a very focal point, but they read very lowpoly compared to the rest of his body. Now entertain me with textures!:)
