Looking good man, though I feel your lighting is letting some of your work down especially the Pripryat(spelling) scene. Take a look at some cool reference photo's to help you out with the lighting and it will bring your work out a lot more.
Another update, added nails, a few tweaks and such: Still lots to do (ends of the clothing are rounded and sucky for example) but I'm going to set this one aside for a spell and start another project, which I'll start posting up soon. Should be fun. In theory :P
Looks good, although I'll say that honestly I feel the lighting is the weak spot here. Also, since when to they have poker games at the Top of the World? And you spelled "restaurant" wrong. You transposed the position of the "au" and the "a". LOL! Merriam-Webster defines: "Restaurant"
Fringe is funny. I like it and hate it at the same time. I just wish they didn't treat all their viewers like freakin idiots... Some of the things they feel the need to spell out to the viewer in very long awkward straight forward dialouge just boggles me.
Dungeon Keeper 1 or 2 (If you can find them) Startopia (might be spelling that wrong) And if you can find it, theres an olllllld LucasArts game called Afterlife, where you run Heaven and Hell. Dang, I've played waaaay too many games....
Can you really use a keyboard with no touch feedback? What's the point if you don't have clickety click sounds? By the time that thing's ready those crazy ass multi input touch screens will be a reality and will do the same thing but will be bigger and better. /edit for spelling -_-
If I might be one of those annoying English language Nazi people for a moment (and probably make a whole bunch of nasty spelling and grammatical errors myself while I'm at it), Seraphim is a plural or Seraph. His armour looks like it won't allow for any bending at the knees.
It's the other way round really. i.e. where there is a UV split a hard edge can prevent artefacting (it's not compulsory) Adding hard edge in the middle of a UV shell is completely fine and requires no modification of the UVs
http://www.artpanda.co.uk/ Tried to make it simpler and sort out my work into neat images with their own pages. :) Also cut a lot of crap stuff from ages ago. So eh, yeah. If anyone has any suggestions or has noticed any spelling or grammar errors please say. (god knows i suck) :)
Ryse Moss Tutorial Hi, I'm Patrick Gladys - Environment Artist at Crytek in Frankfurt/Germany. In this tutorial I will show you how to create moss the way we did it in Ryse. Some people might think we used a shader for that, but in fact it was an old school trick we used on this to create the effect of a nice fluffy…
