They're not magically going to fill out this world in that time, It might end up shadow of the colossus, a whole lot of empty with many hot-spots of stuff (which is not unlike previous zelda titles). They're not going to fill out the entire world elderscrolls-style in a year.
Baking ambient maps and stuff. Going to see if the magic of Quixel can help out with texturing. For me, texturing is always the most difficult part, but we'll see how it goes. I'll probably just use Quixel to get some sort of base and then take it from there.
omg, what is that magical ability to do acurate and cool looking pictures on every step of the way and how do i aquire it?? p.s. more messy steps (cat sucking her finger as a bonus): meanwhile good luck to everyone with finishing and polishing your artwork!
Is it that 3DO isn't previewing the actual output into the engine? That's definitely a known issue. 3DO2 actually has 1-1 previewing with Unreal via GGX shading and a bit of other programmer magic, so with Suite 2, what you see is what you get.
I dont think the forum supports vimeo embedding, just youtube. youtube vids are embeded by pasting a link to the youtube video in the reply, and it does everything auto-magically, so I'd assume that if you paste a link to the vimeo video & it doesnt embed, it isnt supported :)
I'm pretty bad at reading people, so I'll ask directly, just to be sure that I understand what you all meant: is the ability to draw/sculpt a realistic human on the spot, without the use of references, something so hard and rare, that it's regarded as nearly magical?
Wow for being so disappointed that you "had" to work with screenshot paintovers you have certainly worked some serious magic with them. I feel like out of everyone you have taken the paint over and took the most artistic liberties with the shapes and designs.
9>8>7 (The dialogue in 7 was terrible, TERRIBLE) And also Tactics (PSX) is the best anyways. Also 6 and 5 are fucking ACE (5 is such a magical fucking game, play it, really) (Also the Mana Series is ace too, as far as squaresoft RPG games go)
Hey dudes, thought you might like to see what I applied your techniques to. Thanks again! [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMHSiYiB55s&list=UUJfNOH8nHXcs-tYZk6ZLo8w&index=1&feature=plcp"]The Magical Kingdom of Zeal (UDK) - YouTube[/ame]
Normal maps aren't magic, they can't effect the silhouette of the object. You're trying to project the normals of a smoothed cube onto a harsh cube, but you're lowpoly simply doesn't have enough geometry to accurately follow the silhouette of the highpoly. Try beveling the edges down on the lowpoly.
