nice!, was waiting to see someone have a go at a deus ex 3 style environment. Will probably do something similar once i get my current scene wrapped up. can't wait to see the final result.
You'll be skinning(or skin wrapping) the clothing items to the same skeleton as the character. Then you import the character[to engine] and choose the skeletal mesh on import. Then for every item that you import to engine you can choose the same skeleton as the character's.
Alright guys i tried to make some of those adjustments! Thanks for the feed back. This guy is about at the point that i need to wrap him up so if you've got any last crits hit me up!
Wow!... Disturbing, but wow. If he wrapped his jacket around her at the end it would provide a rounder story arc and complete the metaphor of a hero sacrificing something of himself for somebody else yet still really cool artistically. :)
The shell shape idea is fantastic, I felt it gives a cute impression of Chesire Cat wrapping around his neck comfortably! I'm excited to see the ponytail done, your design makes him outstanding and I like it.
It's been a while since I posted any updates. Here are some maya screenshots of the tree that lives in one corner of the Mystics Arboretum :) Should have this project wrapped up in the next 2 weeks so expect more!!

You posted this with perfect timing. We just got the Autodesk Entertainment Suite at work and I've been trying to wrap my head around Maya. I got a copy, makes much more sense now. Thanks!
Vig - I think Unreal 3 needs 100% closed meshes. Something to do with the way it shadows the meshes... a close mesh will halt and shadows from wrapping the mesh and going within it. That make any sense? I'm tired.
Very tight! I love the detailing you have going on your models, and the packaging (graphic design, music, sound effects) really wrap it up nicely. I doubt you'll have any problems finding work
