Hey Guys just a quick question. I've got a perfect tiled texture (that i sculpted using the wrap mode) in zbrush. But what i want to do is, when using the surface noise, i want it to keep on tiling. When i use it, the tile is broken, is there a way to fix this?
Hi everyone, How do you guys go around modeling cables and wires and the get them to wrap around objects? For example a power cable that can needs to be wound around a pole or a fence etc.... If anyone can direct me to a tut would be very much appreciated.
@Obscura Okay So I added that graph to both the rope's material and the lantern's one, but the endpoints of the rope don't move, which is the part I've been having a hard time wrapping my head around figuring out.
This looks excellent. I'm guessing the person swinging this thing gets blood on their hands quite often, which stains the handle wrappings. The brown discolouration on the blades seems enough to me; mostly rust with a hint of old blood stains.
I wrapped up this prop just a while ago, I feel so satisfied with this one. Looks cool and took me just one working day for the whole proccess. Learning so much from previous errors :)
It looks very nice overall but maybe I'd lower specular on metal parts a bit. And string looks kind of strange :) It doesn't resemble a rope at all, it should be wrapped around more tightly. 1st post, yay :D
Starting the session now. We're in the Hangout. Come to join us :) I'm going to try to wrap up all the sculpt today. Some extra pieces will have to go, but I want to finish the important part of it, instead of not at all.
Continuing to finish up the materials left in the scene, I want to revisit the chair and base of the Center Desk, its looking a little flat. Tweaking lighting, more or less wrapping up all of the elements in the next few days.
Hey everybody, Quick update on progress. Started UVing and putting down some base materials on everything. Here is a shot of progress in UE4. I hope to get a ton of work done this weekend and start to wrap this thing up.
i'm yelling at my girlfriend right now asking her how you do this, these are amazing, i just can't wrap my head around designer, nodes just don't go well with me. awesome stuff
