I found that I at 15-20 FOV I get decent results, my boss meant mm not the FOV, which I don't think Cryengine cameras have, just the FOV setting sadly. Thanks for the replies though guys.
Yea, Low odor, let's pretend something doesn't exist because in your world everything is 100% square and differences don't exist. or you could read just one of a billion examples: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/12/15/geeky_decor_puts_off_ladies/
It sounds like the ripple space warp would probably do what you need? http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/index.html?url=files/GUID-D76CC0CD-0835-475F-825D-B09EE34159AD.htm,topicNumber=d30e179724
Check out this thread, look at Stefan's texture layout (about the 8th post down): http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=39&t=444791&page=7&pp=15 Check out the polycount wiki as well: http://wiki.polycount.com/CategoryEnvironment
The "Loop Tools" dialog has a Space command. Check out this page for a description. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/index.html?url=files/GUID-C1D508AB-A3E5-4965-AAE3-4FA5EC48CA75.htm,topicNumber=d30e125533
While I mostly agree with this sentiment, it's possible he has a really simple idea that doesn't require a lot of animating or modeling or texturing. Maybe it's a super slow zoom in on some planets for 1:45 and 15 seconds of a spaceship zooming into the screen.
I just apply a gradient() to a diffuse channel, and set it to Object Space, instead of explicit UV or world space. Then I use render to texture to get the map. The script isn't complicated at all, but takes 15-20 steps down to one.
I solved it. I created a desaturated, tightened up level edited base map and then set the psduvfilter to normal settings, but then I changed the scale to 5 instead of default 15 and it tightened up the garbarge and seems on the final mesh! Onward Ho!
does the artbook contain some environment art? I've seen so many containing the 10 15 concepts you find everywhere and otherwise just characters and stuff.. meh btw.. I think he mentioned inquisition as source of inspiration
True, but Avaline and Flemith isn't packin killer knockers and the female NPCs aren't either. But for the first 15 min. it looks like a boobie fest. edit: OK, scratch that, Avaline is packin some heat. So where are these Dx11 tessellation settings?
