dunno in games, but in vfx shop could lose contract with the movie studio/ip owner because of that.it definitely not compliment. but again probably in movie revealing story/footage is super big deal.
Yes, it's coming to Linux. I don't think it's aimed at personal users, though. Lots of biiig VFX houses run on Linux. Also makes for cheaper, faster, easier render farms, too.
Looks alright, aside from that lightsaber. Not a big fan of Abrams though, everything he touches has this sort of whiff of fanboy commercialism. But I'll keep an open mind, VFX looked good.

Just curious if there was a difference between the standard and pro versions other than price/rights. (Btw, I work at a vfx studio that is 90% Linux based, the rest is split btwn mac and PC).
pretty awesome, i'm not a fan of movies that boast themselves totaly on vfx but i think i wanna see this, if not only to find out where the hell do they think they're gonna go
