@Mr Flopsie & @atomander I think there are other challenges you can join in for that sort of thing such as the 'Weekly Hard Surface Challenge' and the 'Monthly Firearm Challenge'. @sziada Cool, good start :D I'm going to join in on this one, I'm still a total noob to the whole production so this should help me a ton!
mr is developed now by nvidia themself and its not dead... it will come back... huge... a lot of R&D was done... if you are interested apply for the betatest.... but in the meanwhile use vray and take a look at redshift... blizzard for example rendered the overwatch cinematics with red...…
You need some kind of reflection, like a cubemap needs to be applied. Your gloss needs to be B&W which represents the material difference of your specular. Your specular needs to represent the strength of the shine. Also, MR? What material? Settings? I don't see your render, could you post it?
Render I tried before using the MR Sky and what not and it gave me horrible results. I just tried it again and it gave me horrible results. I followed the Max tutroial with my scene and the one you had a link to. I will darken the interior of the temple and see what i come up with.
so after actually taking some time to look around Mr. Cloward's site a little more I discovered that I needed to set my Display Driver to my card. I feel like such a noob. Anyway, I can start messing with those shaders now woohoo! thanks for the feedback everyone
Thanks alot, Mr. Wednesday But, does this I have to start mine now? :) Anyway, dont sweat it. Do stuff in your own pace - there is nothing wrong with doing things slowly as long as it is on your won time. The only danger is that you lose interest in the project before you get to finish it. So, keep motivating yourself!
Hey there, I went ahead and made some more renders while experimenting with MR shaders...sheesh this is hard. No shadows or FG/II turned on. I am gonna shoot for a sculpt in Mudbox at least before texturing. link to…
But the work is great. Presentation matters but i'm really not seeing an issue here. Looking through my bookmarks, there are plenty of sites i've saved that are set up in this way and not once have I thought 'hey the work is great but I wish Mr. slacker would buy a domain - how cheap!' My standards - she is low!
Hey Mr. Moose, First of all, I like your name. Second, do you have any advice concerning the development of a model? How do you get such results, what type of brushes do you use? Thanks. I would certainly like to see more of your work, has a good style.
@Rurouni Strife I don't think I'm running any filter. I'll look at my settings but could you maybe suggest something? Thanks. @Mr Bear I haven't tried that but I'll look for the option. Thank you. @commander_keen I'll look for those settings too. What file should I export to, .png?
