what feels a bit weird is the fact that gray and brown metal parts of the texture have stains, dirt and damaged paint while the white background looks super clean.
The Eat3d Old Damaged Pillar! I learn so much from that DVD, it made unwrapping a non-issue for me. I was really struggling with that at the time. Thanks Riki!
That Chainsaw Tank makes no sense, but then again the delightful Cel Damage didn't either. :P Haha, it's hilarious how it's juxtaposed between your APC and realistic pieces, heh.
So far I've blocked out the entire belltower in Maya and brought it into ZBrush for detailing. I started sculpting in some edge damage on the bricks today between classes.
Alright, I'll try that out. It's tough making a nice damaged plaster texture, though! Having a hard time finding tutorials for it, aswell. Any tips? Also, thanks!
Try to make sure your basemesh has quads that are evenly distributed (square) in order to get good sculpting details, your damage still looks strange and sloppy.
Well that was the idea really, to deal half damage as direct and scatter the other half around as aoe. But you're right, it takes too much attention away from the target.
I like it for sure. I would suggest to add different material for the drilling blades and much more damage sings for the whole drill. Don't forget to share it with animations! :)
