Back when I was just a gamer, I never really cared about newer consoles and fancier graphics. I was always about the gameplay. But now this: "150-200K is the norm for a character" gets me all giddy. That's a lot to play with!
I also recommend to avoid these machines. For the price of one unit, you can build 2 mini PCs more powerful. And err... holy cow! 150 processes? if that it's your screenshot, you need to learn how to optimize windows :) .
Why isn't there a computer game developers union? At least then they could go on strike. Miners learnt about this crap 150 years ago. If the writers can go on strike and badly damage nearly two years worth of American TV...
thnom's birthday is today I think. TOO MANY BIRTHDAYS! So from now on, I shall insert "Happy birthday" into my signature! Edit: I just found out it doesn't fit... stupid 150 character limit!
I plugged a PC directly to my TV, I got a Logitech wireless keyboard. I download some shows with the combination of netflix and some other streaming, youtube etc... +150$ a month
Is there anyway to separate animations or name them? I can do it in Blender via the Dopesheet -> Action editor. I'm having a hard time getting my animations smoothed out since going I get all 150 frames of animations into the graph editor and it's just a horrible mess for me.
Gave a talk on "Working towards a Job in the Game Industry" for 3December at Rochester Institute of Technology on December 3rd. Around 150 students and faculty came to hear my presentation. I think I mentioned PolyCount a few dozen times :D
The only odd spec I've read about the Nexus one was on Slashdot claiming that "only 190 megabytes of its total 4.5 gigabytes of memory is allowed for storing apps." That seemed a bit odd to me...
Back to the Chopping Block. Modeled out a new blade to accentuate the jagged stone edge. I has increased my tri count by about 150 though. I think the trade off will be worth it.
I would not recommend Maya lt even for a small studio, they limited too much and it is hard to build a efficient pipeline around Maya lt. Just pay the $150/month sub for the real thing.
