From what I've seen that Gateway is the best tablet pc for an artist right now, as it can be configured with a mobile graphics card instead of an integrated chipset. I'm personally staying away from tablet pcs until I see cintiq/intuos 3 pressure levels (1024). Most tablet pcs are only as sensitive as a graphire/bamboo…
Check this out: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1300631 If it says 100%, it may not actually be 100% because it rounds up. Also bonus items... I was just discussing this with a friend the other day and found that on the steam forums.
!!!!!!! well, length, width and height are the dimensions of your box in whatever your unit setup is set. 100 is the scale value in percent, since you have the scale tool selected, so 100 is totally correct. No issue here ?
Discoloration is fine, but your average color should be close to that normal map 128 128 255. Should look more like this for a boxy asset, http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2Z35mw4QhXA/URpHAR-I7cI/AAAAAAAAAJE/1cQi1ApRU9w/s400/Normal_Map_bump.jpg
It's not an issue with the Dota 2 settings. Post your masks so we can have a look and see what the issue is. Keep in mind that if your alpha channel of either mask is 100% black or 100% white the masks will not work.
Maybe not the best example, but maybe it gives you some idea. 3ds max 5.1 Scanline renderer Max 2.5 Star supersampler Specular Level = 100 Glossiness = 75 Left = no bump, right = bitmap Bump @ 100
I am trying to make my first big set and am trying to figure out how to break the chunks up into modular pieces and how to texture them. I want to use a tiling texture as the base and add details with substance painter, but there's too much surface area for the shells to all fit into the 0-1 space and tile. Is it okay…
I tried to break it up on the side. It's a little 128*128 piece of broken wall texture. Doesn't really show i guess. But a vine i'ts a good idea, had some thoughts about it before..
Small update due to popular demand. RC5. You can get it here: http://www.kostas.se/shaderfx-tga-pbl-shader/ From 1.0 RC4 -> 1.0 RC5:-Per popular demand added emissive/fullbright texture + multiplier.
Push it lower until you are unhappy with the results :) 128 x 128 is a little high for a staircase unless there is a nice shadow cut running over the object ... but then again if you are just going to a beauty shot it is probably ok. Nice work!
