Thanks Spoon! Hope it helps! Oh and dimosM, I missed it in my first post but the wood looks pretty damn good for you're first try at it! There are definitely wood texturing tutorials if you're interested.
Is there any other file formats that just transfer materials and texture assignments? If FBX can not do it all in one fell swoop, maybe I can import my model in two separate steps.
I've always kind of hoped that valve would do an april fools event and release some temporary joke cosmetics, like that giant spoon for Sven that I remeber seeing on the workshop way back when.
i dont think that joe meant about different ways of learning , more as a "try for yourself , research , try to use common sense and dont expect to be spoon fed an end-all solution to all problems"
I coulda sworn i saw this guy make a cameo at the end where the shot pulls back revealing a ton of creatures... Nerded out, pointed to the screen and shouted "Boomer!" Fun little horror movie.
"Your code name for this mission will be Infrared Cricket" Meh, I'll take it. So far my favorite is Discharge Alligator. Humongous Crane doesn't sound awesome...until it's swooping down and swallowing you whole.
Nice work! I think as soon as there is material separation, the impression of being on a water vessel won't be there any more. Especially with concrete material on pillars and parts of the walls. The concrete elements could be a bit larger, as these are the structurally supporting elements.
And in one fell swoop, you've significantly diminished your chances of employment at a few studios represented on the forum :) Hey guys we're looking for people at DE! Hope all is well! http://www.digitalextremes.com/careers/postings
Yeah.. When you can afford it ^_^ On a side note... did they change the group node key in the UDK material editor ... I could have sworn it was "C" in UT3. Maybe I've lost my mind.
