My suggestion would be just to not give a shit. It seems like a pretty easy job where the boss really doesnt care what type of work you put out, so wear your belt, apologize when you do something wrong and just relax
I wouldn't strike pinch off the list, but I'd say use it at the very end when you're sure you know where should be sharp and where not.. sculpting over pinched geom is indeed a pain in the arse and it has to be completely relaxed to be usable again destroying the shape
Slightly off subject, but what do you think of using the pelt uv in max for heads? I tried it, and I was unsure I liked the results. I still ended up relaxing and then manually moving the lips and eyelids so they didn't overlap or create a "O" shape.
Relax guys, it's just a meaningless collection of questions with a quick ratio calculation to determine a seemingly accurate answer at the end. It's not like your answers and IP information are being sent to some secret governmental agency hoping to catalogue all the gay and potentially gay people in our society. Or is it?
--COMPLETE-- A nice quick and relaxed project for a busy February. It was still a really great exercise in creature sculpting, and more gruesome pbr than I've dabbled in in the past. Plus a little quick animation to dip my toes into that field! More views, textures and Marmoset viewer on my Artstation
Right now the jacket has wrinkles that would appear if if was buttoned closed, but considering your jacket is open it looks like both side are being pulled together by an invisible force. I would either close his jack and keep the wrinkles in that direction, or change the wrinkles to be more 'relaxed'
Thanks Konras! I think for the hair we just need to be more relax and do small things one by one, if we jump on large chunks we just messed up.:) More update on head study! 28 hours of work on this head. Suggestions are most welcome, Thanks
There's an Equalize Surface Area button, but that usually works better for bigger changes that would really stretch out a shape. For more minor changes you could try dropping down a few subdivisions (three or more), smoothing/relaxing the area a bit, and using the Tool:Subtool:Reproject Higher Subdiv Button.
try a cylindrical mapping for the bigger tube and another one for the front one. Select the extruded parts and relax them. That should give you a nice pixel distortion free map. To map something cylindrical in the UVunwrap Modifier simply select the faces and then hit the Cylinder button on the right side.
Ugh.. I had "fixed" the pose and than decided to redo it from scratch. Ended up being similar anyway.. So yeah, here is what I have now. Tried to go for a more relaxed an natural pose. Let me know what you guys think. =]
