Made Some progress today , I added a few flames on the candles and worked more on the stone texture and brightened up the wood texture a bit . Also added some red cloth on the skull and I want to ask you guys what you think about it ? Does it support the focus ? or is it more distracting ?
I agree with Autocon. Not sure if a "inspirational" thread is already floating around, but it would be really cool. I feel like this thread will just turn into a flame war between opinions. :\ P.S. You can't really say these are the top artists in the WORLD of 2012. Maybe the top artists you know about, but that's about it.
But on this side of the coin I wouldn't mind working with you flaming liberals at Epic at all. :) It would just be nice if hiring managers out there could feel the same way and just ignore that stuff like they should ignore skin color. EDIT: btw many on the far left want to police the internet too.
Umm.. The americans.. well.. all we have to do is get all the overweight men/women.. get them to fart in their face.. and or sit on them.. and woot.. we win ! Europeans.. uhhh.. who >.> I think they would both win.. I'm a hippy.. I LOVE EARTH!! *Covers up not to get flamed*
hehe, that's cute. I think if it's fine. If you want to take it further, maybe some darth vader buttons on his chest for more color (since he's pressing a button there anyway), and draw in the red button trigger he's got his left hand gripped for that activates the flames-from-butt jetpack.
Bwahaha! Awesome! My friends and I have been watching this over and over in preparation for the day of rockening! Though I've seen the video several times, I can't help but tremble in fear each time he lifts his flaming axe to the heavens and belts out the chorus! HARD! ROCK! HALLELUJAH!
Moving to General Discussion, since you're not posting any images. You're both doing a fairly good job of keeping this civil (more than most, anyway) however I feel swearwords are unneccessary and will just incite anger and flaming, so I'm going to edit those out now. Thanks, MoP
I feel stupid for asking such an elementary question but how do you make an object follow the surface of a mesh? For example say I wanted to rivet a piece of airplane, I would create the rivet mesh, create an array of that rivet and have it follow the metal plate mesh perfectly. I've seen it done before, but I forget what…
Most thing said are correct, the main point is always: it depends on the engine and the platform. So any fancy tricks could be applied or not. Don't assume anything, if it's important to you just talk with the guy responsible for it. Batching is motivated by two reasons: - GPUs love big work loads, thousands of threads…
I think that a flipbook is internally stored as one texture and changing which "page" you are viewing just alters the UVs to focus on a specific area. This means you're going to have to wrap the UVs yourself because otherwise it'll just bleed onto the next animation tile in the direction you're scrolling.…
