I had to do just this a while back. What is the issue with the normals? Can you post an example? It may just be a flipped green. -

One thing interesting I noticed, in the second example the substance bake is the only one without bleeding projections on that left-most slope. -

You should check out some scans . even if the proportions are stylized the anatomy is the same . For example that's not how the butt works . Good luck ! -

MM: An example are Silo and 3D-Coat style licenses tied to the individual, so you can use it at home or work. It's very convenient.
