As was said earlier they're just words, words you can get on the front of newspapers if you spell them S**T and F**k. Times change and different words become the norm, English as a language is fairly light on swearing.
I'm trying to take my 3d art more seriously and get a little bit in each week. Here's the results of last weeks tentative fiddling after a long dry spell away from my dear friend zbrush.
This is Maya, but probably translate-able to Max: Create a sphere with a # of subdivision axii(spelling?), the edges that radiate from one pole to another, divisible by 4 (ie. 8, 12, 16, 20, etc), then delete every other edge at the poles...
What is your resolution for 2011? Mine is to stop being lazy when it comes to working on my portfolio. And to start eating healthier. EDIT: I just realized I spelled resolutions wrong, if an admin wants to change that. If not, just leave it so I can wallow in shame.
-get a job -work towards a lead position in said job -work on my concept painting -try my hand at traditional painting -work on side projects -circuit bend the big box of Speak & Spells I have in the garage
The latest render where she is using her powers captures the borderlands spirit perfectly. ^^ The black circle in her spell is really attention grabbing. Personaly I would just leave the center yellow to get more attention on the siren.
Cool looking effect! What kind of spell does the vfx represent? Is it a slow? High burst? Does it freeze? Does it heal? Just something to give us more context so we can better critique your work.
Typical of you, you do everything else right, but spell they're wrong :P. Great job anyways, tell me when you make progress and lemme' play your mission. By the way, don't forget Captain Falcon.
Try altering already exsisting weps, and study the form. Pay attention to how they work mechanically and your designs will be more beliveable. And my spelling continues to get worse. In fact I could have corrected it instead of typing this sentance.
at least spell it right... it's ISLE OF MAN. Not ISLAND. YAAAARGH. What I found most hiliarious about the news post on Gamasutra is the title "ISLE OF MAN LOOKING FOR GAME DEVELOPMENT COMPANIES" and a picture of a totally blank and empty island next to it....
