Hey Frobbins: when closing out your image link put a /img inside the brackets. I was going to abuse my mod powers to edit your post but it turns out your posting more images than allowed to in one post - you can only do 16 images at a time.
The latest build is 2.8.79.6. Check https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/krita/krita-open-source-digital-painting-accelerate-deve/posts/880799 for more information and a download link. I'll make a new build this afternoon with the 8 and 16 bit heightmap filters and the editable selection feature Dmitry just completed. That…
@Vailias I'm doing it in xnormal and I cant seem to figure out how to export it as a 16bit! Is there any way to export it as a grayscale 16 bit out of xnormal? I tried creating the height map is zbrush and everything is black, just black with one white thin edge to the extreme right of the height map.
Yep, i did that. Cranked up the subdivisions and applied bevel on the sides, but it only made my box look like a semi-pipe. I'm looking for something like this: https://us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/vj/76v1x5rrbk9l.png Or maybe this: http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/16/1461279623-bevel-copy.jpg
They were losing something silly like £16 million a year before they changed the free version to be more restrictive. The whiners were a small but vocal minority I think. Anyway, it's a great service. A minor nitpick is that they don't always have an artist's full back catalogue. This is quite rare in my experience though.
Synaesthesia is there a 16bit verision of the displacement. with a 8bit jpeg you wont get good results for rendering. found the answer... but it would be great to get this also in the free samples... at least a 16bit dispmap for testing... hobby version does not have 16/32bit access... https://megascans.se/faq#Which file…
Those white pixels could be a result of a too high specular value. You could also turn on color clamping. These white spots are superbright pixels which don´t translate well when vray saves the image which is internally rendered in 16 or 32bit per channel as 8bit per channel.
Trust me on this - school will not prepare you. Online will be MUCH better. Polycount will be much better. I don't think there is anything back in Ireland that will teach you, unless you find some modders and work it out. That's a better route. Thought I'd share a little update, as these are taking me longer than I expected. Decided to change the art style slightly so the rocks would fit in more environments, here are a few previews (showing 16 rocks out of 45). Not finished yet, still working on the textures. Everything is sculpted by hand!
Started doing 3D when I was 13. Started earning money by doing work for small clients / individuals at 15 or 16. Currently almost 19 and I could easily move out and live quite comfortably in my country. Most of the time I don't really know what I'm doing.
