Hey been awhile super busy :D Some sketches as a break from 3D trying to be more active with drawing! :D half an hour to an hour so nothing finished haha. More color and more perspective on my target list! :D Dota 2 characters :)
make sure you're using a default program matereial, like a blinn or phong, not any dota textures. Also make sure both LOD0 and LOD1 are using the same one. If you use Material #01 in the editor, use that for both LOD's and you won't have an issue.
Depends, right now people sacrificing their work/college etc. to become professionals in gaming, which can lead to really good money. For me...well, I play DotA for 10 years and I never say no when friends want to play, but it's more like a hooby ;)
Holy cow... Why is valve so ridiculously stingy on that poly count?! Ugghhhh well... *toss* guess I learned all I could out of this particular first dota item exploration. Now I know why sith_happens does his low poly first.
Recently started modern warfare 2 again and wow the difference between that and WW2, very different philosophy, else Dota, overwatch and my own game mostly. The great thing about working on a shooter is that youre always very warmed up if you play another one
Doesn't cost anything as far as I'm aware? My set's in there, although it doesn't appear to have done much for it... [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IvpRSFNjIk"]Dota 2 Top 5 Workshop - Week 70 - YouTube[/ame]
Aye. I've played 2500 games and have never been in low prio, ever. Or had games that would have required a concede button. But yeah, this has been discussed to death on every single dota related forum by now. ^^
Also, if anyone says that I should just use the Dota 2 shader for 3DS Max, I've tried and I've had just as hard of a time getting it to work with Max 2015. My items disappear when the texture is applied. :[
Hey kilik, In the next release of DDO (1.7) there will be a whole lotta stylization features, including stylized Master Presets for generating painterly texture bases, and full on Dota 2 support. The release is due in a few days. Stay tuned! - Teddy
