Might be misunderstanding the question, but can this be solved with snapshotting features from your sculpt in zbrush then tiling those textures and just vertex blending them based on the areas of the cliff? @Eric: Hmm... isn't additive blending required by the OpenGL-es spec? I didn't think it was even optional. Heck, the iPhone even supports GL_ARB_TEXTURE_ENV_DOT3. regarding edge bleeding imo a quick way in PS is: - duplicate a merge of your texture, - blur it by the amount you want to bleed it, e.g 8 pixels - duplicate that layer like 10-20 times so taht the blurred alpha gradient on the border from the blur filter is solid and not opaque at all anymore - merge that whole blur copy… -
