For the last couple
of weeks I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for Beyond Good and Evil
2, a little project to keep me busy during the holidays and spice up my
portfolio a bit. It’s a game that’s very close to my heart
and basically motivated me very early on in life to become a game artist. So
with my search…
Update: Experiment two has started. So far I have scanned cloth and made a usable high poly for baking. Part two is work in progress. Thanks for the continuing support guys. Racer: yeah im definitely going to be looking at these parts when im baking them i still need a tile to the blank part of the model which i'll probably do in PS. thanks for the advise! here's a bit more pieces just need one more highpoly model (tele screen) then i can start texturing…
^ I have to disagree with you Ace-Angel. Case 1: The scracthed shiny part is so small imo it would look better from fps to just make all that thin part to higlight. Case 2: that noise-dirt pattern is extremely small and noisy.I bet you won't notice that from fps and so it ads nothing.
Finished creating my low poly model, Is at 8.3k tris.. not sure how I'd go about lowering it and not lose the silhouette (but I think 8.3k is reasonably okay, as riot didn't give a set limit..) As I'm entering this competition to improve my skills (I have only been doing 3D for about a year) any tips to improve would be…
Ok, some more updates here: I've looked at a few examples around new york city to incoprate certain aspects and parts into the scene, the main things i'm aiming to include are dumpsters, the lamp posts, possibly a fire escape aswell as perhaps a trashed car. The staircase on the side of the building is simply a place…
Hi folks, It took a while but I've finally gathered a few images of some the work I did while part of the Garden Warfare 2 team. It was a fun project to work on and a great team to be a part of. I hope you enjoy. If you've stumbled across this here but would prefer to interact on Artstation, you can also find the gallery…
Thanks all, Here's the technical parts : Textures, actual size. No, these are for my portfolio. The idea is to not stop at just making nice pieces but also present my abilities in all parts of the creation process. A to Z. Lately i had been designing and making many funky weapons at work anyway, I knew how fast i could…
Some comments regarding ur sculpt. The weight distribution on the jacket seems weird. The hoody part seem fine but as you comparing with the fold on the forearms, It seem heavier than the rest. Then as what i see from ur side view, the weighting of the material is different also. The front part seem alot tighter than the…
Keep model in parts until you have basicly finished model. If you need to join parts, than simple ctrl+j and remesh. Tiny details can be added via sculpting in blenders multiress (but its bugged mess) or added in zbrush. You can even do this in substance painter. Just avoid adding to much tris in blocking phase. Decimate…
