yeah, Im using an ati 4200HD (yuk) all of my gfx drivers are up to date. one thing it might be is the fact that the new version is 64 bit. maybe the next version will be smoother. till then Im on the april release.

At the moment we're just keeping the one base part and then the turrets are interchanged in code, I don't think it would be particularly difficult to make varients, but it's not really the highest priority at the moment…
I think one of the biggest problems is the anatomy of your snakes, they look a lot more like snakes rolled from play dough right now rather than real snakes. Real snakes bodies aren't the same width all the way down might also want to make the heads look more menacing. Snagged a couple of pics off google:…
