There's no medical proof that says 2nd hand smoke kills (only assumptions and guesses). I would not doubt though, that the chemicals are in fact affecting you to some degree. Cadmium, Arsenic, etc - all of that stuff can have adverse affects even in small doses. Staying there and breathing second hand smoke won't kill you…
Not much to add other than I feel your pain and agree video tutorials are a horrible way to document a product. Having been through the PuppetShop videos a half dozen times, I've written my own personal tutorials just so they are searchable. I shouldn't have to document your documentation just so I can use it.... grr...…
I find I'm most creative when I'm either by myself, or with one close friend, with water/tea at hand, and some good music. Often times I like to come up to work on the weekends when no one is here. The feeling of getting stuff done while others are relaxing actually gives me a bit of creative fuel. As for stopping points,…
Morgan Freeman came out great!... But you know what would be more awesomer? If you did a low poly and textured his head. And made him as photorealistic as you could. ...I'm not a fan of random zbrush sculpts like that hand you have. It is a nice hand, but as a character artist it should be given that you could sculpt…
I have the one danshewan posted, got it around 18 months ago. It was a masssive upgrade when I first got it, felt really nice compared to the crappy generic office chair I had before. The neck thingy is designed for you to place it forward and backwards, but when you place it forward and lean back on it, it just gets…
At 18, I did not believe I had a future. I did not know who I was or where I was going. Nothing planned. I'd be lucky to stay alive. I turned my back on all the things I enjoyed as a kid. I completed high school from peer pressure. After graduating I moved away from everything I knew, disconnecting myself from the world…
PRE-GDC UPDATE: Back on sale (and now in EU) until March 24th! So since a small run (Just 18!) of 'I < 3 N-GONS' got printed last year I occasionally get asked for one. Anticipating some folks at GDC asking about my shirt I thought now would be a good time to do a second run. And this time I can offer a separate EU…
I've been there, I started out with Maya then switched to Max because at the time its what the industry ran on. Got a job using Max and now I use Maya casually every now and then just to stay current. It's taken a while but they both feel pretty comfortable. Still occasional slip of the keys. "Switcher" Sets Max up as much…
Here is another solution(video) by Steven Roselle's Maya blog @ the area: http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/stevenr/symmetrical_modeling_tips_and_tricks The last time I met Steve in Baltimore, he actually gave me the idea. ( His desire to one day see all of Maya's tools reflectable ). So I am hopeful Autodesk will implement…
