Re: 3D Scanning Technology shows it's potential
The video doesn't show anything remotely new, it shows someone playing with scans in AR, after all the tedious scanning & processing work was done. Looks to me like a proof-of-concept promo for an AR interface idea. -

I’m doing the model for AR Color book. User can color on the picture and use an apps to show in AR 3D. They said user color actually is doing texture, color on its UV, so the UV next to same as the picture / camera show. -

FoV is still an issue but AR stuff will generally be more targeted towards people who are in the skilled trades rather than gaming at the moment. I do work at an AR firm and that's generally what we are aiming for -

First attempt to get AR-15 based rifle done, the new German G28, based on the HK MR308. Second AR-15 based rifle in the Bundeswehr after the G27 (HK 417). A lot of accessoires and small stuff, stupid curves.
