Thank you! I used a gradient dynamic node to distribute a linear gradient over a blurry image. The look comes from the blur having some directionality to it, so some good ways to do that would be to use aniso or non uniform blur on the input. @Gazu, Not sure which detail you are referring to. As of heightmap itself or texturing? @armagon, I use a slope node to get the rocks, and I use flow and deposition map then as a base to start working on them in Photoshop. you could use an "if" node if your engine has one since it has 3 outputs? you'd need one of the states to be exactly equal to though so it would work as a switch rather than a soft blending. what sort of variable is it you want to pass to this part of the network? i've had a quick play with using multiple lerps and come up… -

curious how many segments on Icosa? EDIT: nvm figured it out, its on 2 Icosa with Turbosmooth and then splitting it apart. Way better than slicing technique but surely will come in handy for tools that dont have slice tools for example :D
