Hello! I am trying to move the position of a skydome with an HDRI inside of Maya. I am aware that you can only rotate it when viewing in arnold. I was wondering if anyone knew of a work around this?

Take a look at gravity, its completely rendered with arnold (unbiased renderer). So you see that unbiased renderers are suitable for heavy scenes too :) We use arnold too for the rendering of tv spots. Its really fast and easy to set up and you don´t have artifacts which happen when you use final gathering or lightmaps…

I tried to replicate that. in the other hand i will remake the shaders and make the metal more shiny when i learn the new arnold 5 cause that was made with arnold 4 and alshaders plugin. Been super busy, but slowly chipping away. Decided to concentrate a bit on the face to refresh myself. Did some poly painting in zbrush and did some rendering in Arnold.
